Winter makes way for spring winds, as the all new edition of Amazon India Fashion Week for Autumn-Winter 2016 in association with Maybelline New York, takes wings at a freshly minted venue. The five-day fashion extravaganza, from March 16-20, 2016 in the capital comes to a new location at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road.
Continuing with its aesthetic of offering the best talents from all over the country, AIFW is one of Asia’s biggest fashion and trade platform and a congregation of India’s best. This season designers will push the proverbial envelope and take the eclectic textile heritage of India forward through intelligent silhouettes, in keeping with the needs of modern women.
Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) continues to strive to make its events inclusive. This edition marks two firsts at Amazon India Fashion Week - an accessory show and two menswear shows will add to the glitter as the new features.
A coveted list of 100 plus designers – established and and the emerging future talent, will showcase their ingenuity through their trend forecasts for the season ahead, by way of 31 runway shows and 101 exhibit stalls, which will see the spirit of India encapsulated through the prism of a contemporary lexicon.
